The digital age motivated an explosion in the world of advertising. Promotional tools like pop-ups, banner ads and flash animations make it both easier and harder to distinguish yourself. At 4over4, we believe in giving you every resource possible in postcard printing to fit your brand image and produce the most unique, attention-grabbing custom postcards around.

We use crisp,12-point coated card stock and promise a 24 to 48 hour turn-around time and low-cost, affordable price. Maximize the look of your direct mail pieces with our 4 color postcard printing on both sides of your promotional postcards. We also offer a choice of regular (4X6) postcards or oversized (6x8 or greater) 4 color postcards to give you an extra edge of custom innovation.

In the world of direct mail marketing, you have only a short time, sometimes just a split-second, to win your customer over. With 4over4’s top-notch, low-cost postcard printing and services, your postcard won’t just get people interested, it will keep them interested.

H2: Why choose the 4 color method over less color or black and white?

4over4 takes its name from a contemporary development in postcard printing known as 4 color printing. While other companies advertise singled-sided postcard printing or only partial color postcard printing at a discount, 4over4 offers a larger color spectrum to increase the depth and color range of your image at a low-cost to you. When you think about your customer’s first impression, consider this: Color postcard printing has proven so much more influential over black and white postcard printing that 90% of advertising print dollars are spent on full color ads versus black and white. Readers are also found to pay attention up to 82% longer with color postcard prints and brand identification increased 70% when color was added.

Even with the flashiness of digital advertising, postcard printing remains the most effective, low-cost way to get your message across. Learn more: Get the background on postcard prints and find out about new technology.

On the journey to become the next Human Weapon, hosts Jason Chambers and Bill Duff will journey through ancient lands and study with legendary teachers before going head to head with a martial arts master in the fight of—and for—their lives!

Episode Descriptions:

Savate Streetfighting

While France may be known for its culture of peaceful bohemians and passionate artisans, hosts Jason Chambers and Bill Duff will take you into the dark history of the country’s raucous street gangs whose torment of the aristocracy motivated the development of Savate, a graceful but vicious form of combat.

Karate

This is not your sister’s karate class! On the breathtaking shores of Okinawa Island, Japan, hosts Jason Chambers and Bill Duff develop their skills through Iron Body Training and kill-point striking techniques, culminating in a hand-to-hand combat with one of Okinawa’s black-belt masters.

Eskrima Stickfighting

Hosts Jason Chambers and Bill Duff’s travels take them to the Philippines where they’ll condition themselves in the native-born form of stickfighting known as Eskrima, a swift, defensive practice once used for killing Spanish conquistadors.

Muay Thai: Ultimate Striking

This whirlwind adventure follows hosts Jason Chambers and Bill Duff to Bankok where they’ll study the sport’s violent roots in the jungles of Burma and witness its modern influence as spectators to the brutal boxing match at Lumpinee Stadium.

Judo: Samurai Legacy

In Okinawa, Chambers and Duff will train like the samurai who dominated the battlefields of feudal Japan, utilizing the methodology of the peaceful warrior art to inform their fighting strategy before sparring with a master from The Kodokan Judo Institute.

Krav Maga of the Israeli Commandos

Unlike many martial arts whose modern usage is for sport only, Krav Maga is a no-holds-barred defense tactic employed during real-life warfare in the perpetually conflicted Israeli combat zone. Hosts Chambers and Duff will wage a simulated battle in the dusty desert to help them connect with the emotions and immediacy of real war.

Human Weapon: Pankaration

In the ancient, glittering metropolis of Athens, Greece, from which all culture sprung, hosts Chambers and Duff will mimic the mighty Olympians who some say originated the world’s oldest form of mixed martial art - Pankaration. But do they have the Herculean strength required to defeat the World, European and six-time champion of this newly revitalized sport?

Human Weapon: Marines

Hosts Jason Chambers and Bill Duff are stationed in Quantico, Virginia where they’ll train in everything from marksmanship and aquatic sparring to long-range combat with M-16s – all combat methods currently used by the brave men of “The Corp” in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Human Weapon: MMA

Recently made famous by the action-packed Pay-Per-View fights of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, MMA actually stems from Brazilian, Japanese and Greek techniques developed centuries ago. Hosts Chambers and Duff will enter the American ring and become part of the phenomenon.

Human Weapon: Kung Fu

Navigate through China from Beijing to the Great Wall with hosts Jason Chambers and Bill Duff and witness the pair’s silver screen debut at a Kung Fu film studio, where they’ll practice flying kicks fifteen feet in the air like legends Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan.

Uplifting and courageous, The Sierra Leone All Star Band, the six-time award winning documentary from filmmakers Zach Niles and Banker White tracks The Sierra Leone All Stars, a group of refugees who turned to music after being displaced from their West African country during a bloody civil war. A moving journey of hope and struggle that inspired a CD and national tour is a testament to the healing power of music and an intensely personal look into the lives of those often voiceless individuals who are affected by war.

Sell Sheet

In 1991, rebel forces invaded the West African country of Sierra Leone. Thousands were brutally massacred and those who survived were torn from their homes and placed in refugee camps. Stripped of everything and still harboring the scars of their past, they turned to music to give them back the dignity and strength that was taken from them so savagely. The film follows the members of Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars as they embark on a musical tour, record their debut album and return to their homeland for the first time since the war. This award-winning documentary from Zach Niles and Banker White gives a voice to the struggle that so many continue to endure.

Uplifting and courageous, this six-time award-winning documentary by Zach Niles and Banker White tracks the journey of The Sierra Leone Refugee All Stars, a group of six musicians who formed a band after being displaced from their home during a brutal conflict in West Africa, as they rise from the ashes of war and inspire a nation to believe in the healing power of music.

Titled after the group, The Sierra Leone Refugee All Stars follows band mates Reuben Koroma, Francis “Franco” Langba, Efuah Grace, Mohammed Bangura, Arahim Kamara and Alhadji “Black Nature” Kamara through their tour of local refugee camps, debut recording session and painful return to their country for the first time since the war. The band’s sound, a mixture of home-grown beats from West Africa, roots-reggae and Western-influenced rhythm and blues combined with heartfelt lyrics which condemn war and encourage social change have been praised around the world, leading to the band’s first American tour.

Pauline Pisano Bio
A biography for the about section of indie singer-songwriter Pauline Pisano's website.
Pauline Pisano has been receiving praise for her profoundly unusual voice from critics and fans alike. An edgy, romantic singer/songwriter with an unexpected pop/rock twist," she has pipes that are rare and impressive with a range that sails easily from the basement to the heavens." (Debra Donahue, the Cape-May Times).

However, it is Pauline’s unique sense of story and melody that have led her to win several national and international songwriting awards including The Father Fame Award, The American Theater Wing’s Rising Stars Award and the honor of being featured soloist at Alice Tully Hall.

A talent from an early age, Pauline was training with music professionals from New England Conservatory, Berklee College of Music, and Emerson by 11, writing ballads at 14 and accepted into the famous LaGuardia H.S. of Performing Arts by her teen years. She originally gained press and recognition for the award-winning EP In The Middle which helped launch her first solo tour, The Fire in 2009.

This year Pauline and her band, Rich Mercurio (drums) and Arthur Sadowsky (bass) will release her third album, The Light Show, with guest performances from guitarists Marc Ribler and Alan Pisano. The Light Show includes darkly melodic tunes like “Your House,” catchy pop declarations “This Jungle” about the harsh, product-driven reality of the music business and folk-rock narratives like “My Bluff” which tells the story of Pauline’s time driving up 89A in the Phoenix desert. Pauline describes album’s title as the light reportedly seen in the brain as neurons fire off during creative or inspiring moments of musical activity.

With the release of The Light Show, Pauline marks her most mature and musically complex album to date. Pauline has recorded for the likes of Vitamin C and has appeared at Joe's Pub, The Bitter End, the Knitting Factory and Rockwood Music Hall as well as countless other venues and festivals around the country.

Tree Bistro Review
Spec review of NYC's restaurant Tree Bistro.
The Scoop: With the myriad of French restaurants dotting lower Manhattan, it’s often difficult to pay special attention to just one. Except if that restaurant is East Village gem, Tree, a cozy low-maintenance spot with none of the pretention your average hoity-toity bistro tends to offer. Famously featured on The Food Network’s “Best Thing I Ever Ate” (if that doesn’t give you a vote of confidence, I don’t know what will), Tree emphasizes their down-to-earth attitude by offering reasonable prices on their expertly prepared entrees, including Food Network favorite, Fresh Linguini with Manila Clams, Mussels, & Saffron Broth. To top it off, they even protect the pockets of us truly cash-strapped gourmands by providing a $25 three-course prix fixe (nearly unheard of for a restaurant of this caliber) all night from Sunday through Wednesday and till seven, Thursday through Saturday. As for aesthetic, Tree maintains the romantic, cultured ambiance of old Pari, with a few retro twists. A titular tree in the garden is decorated with wild masks and in the winter they string the heated back patio tent with Christmas lights, just to show you while they may be French, they still take themselves lightly from time to time.

Scout Notes: I gotta say, finding a French restaurant in New York where you’re not going to get kicked out for laughing too loud and where you may even have a sit-down chat with one of the waiters, as one patron described she did on a particularly enjoyable night at Tree, is nothing to turn your nose at. Tree is the kind of place where you pause from the laid-back enjoyment of your evening to remind yourself, upon first bite of your delectable dish, that you’re dining at a “fancy restaurant.” The small space is just intimate enough that you can enjoy a deep conversation with your date and the beautiful garden and airy back patio are covered with eclectic antique mirrors tilted sideways so you can check yourself out while you’re savoring that first bite.

And what a bite it will be. The restaurant boasts an interesting menu of classic French delicacies like Steak Au Poivre, French Onion Soup and Seared Foie Gras outfitted with an American twist. But just because there’s an American influence doesn’t mean Tree is slacking on any of that Le Cordon Bleu skillfulness. The restaurant cooks fish that is delicately prepared, pasta that is perfectly seasoned and Crème Brulee with that satisfying sugary crack, making Tree the ultimate in French dining without the haute cuisine haughtiness, so you can loosen your tie and just relax.
Sahara Review
Review of Coney Island's Middle Eastern restaurant, Sahara. Published in Hungry? Thirsty? New York's 2007 Guide.
TalkTurk On Coney Island Avenue

Across the street from a Hookah Bar and minutes from Coney Island, Sahara is a festive family restaurant with solid Turkish cuisine. Spacious and enclosed from the Atlantic breezes, the atmosphere is a cheerful clamor of clanking forks and the dull roar of conversation. The back porch boasts a theatric waterfall and is one of the few places in New York where indoor smoking is still allowed. In front, curious patrons can choose to salivate over the desert cart (filled with traditional treats) or play spectator at the open kitchen counter where lamb roasts on skewers and pitas are assembled with a tasty punch.

On the menu try the signature bread, a thick loaf of browned perfection, poppied and served with your choice of humus, baba, lebna, or if you want to change it up a bit, the spinach tarator, a scrupulous dish emblazoned with sesame oil and showered in walnuts, garlic chopped parsley and spinach. Also, for a delicious variation on the standard dip, order a bowl of chilled Cacik, a cucumber yogurt soup that’s subtle yet savory enough to put any thick, heavy feta overkill to shame.

However, if you’re looking for a diet-less, decadent evening decide to dine on the Cigarette Boerek, a log of phyllo puffy with feta and pan-fried with a generous dollop of oil. This dish is good for big groups because it’s so rich your senses won’t be able to handle more than one. Boereks are also a perfect milky compliment to any of Sahara’s meaty entrées. For fans of spice, choose the beyti kabob, ground and served with roast pepper and tomato, rice and pickled radish and infused with red chilies. Or if you’re a real daredevil, try the adana which is one step up in spice. This eatery is a perfect ending place for a salty Coney Island day-trip or a spontaneous gastronomic adventure.

Oats

Most people associate oats with their morning breakfast, but this healthy grain has many other practical uses. In addition to being an excellent source of natural antioxidants, oats are used as preservatives in frozen foods and lards, cosmetics for dry skin and medicinal treatments for everything from anxiety to opium addiction. Despite its many human benefits, the most common usage for oats is as feed for livestock.

Perhaps the most recognizable figure for oat lovers is the conservatively dressed man on boxes of Quaker Oats oatmeal. Though rumored to be Province of Pennsylvania founder, William Penn, Quaker has stayed mum on the true identity of the grain's noble icon.

As many cereal boxes will explain, oats, combined with a healthy diet throughout the day, can help lower high cholesterol. This is due in part to the high amounts of beta-glucan it possesses which helps to lower the bad cholesterol in our bodies known as LDL. Beta-glucan is also beneficial in preventing heart disease.
Oats can be eaten a variety of different ways and included in both food and drink. Beer connoisseurs will recognize Oatmeal Stout as one popular flavor, made by adding oats during the brewing process. Oatmeal cookies, often served as a sweet dessert in school lunches, are a sugary, baked treat cooked by combining oats with sugar, flour and egg.

Add a healthy twist to your day with these oat recipes:

Chicken Enchiladas

A favorite meal of many Hispanic cultures, the enchilada was first created as a Mexican street snack. Its flat corn tortilla base makes it perfect for wrapping up any number of ingredients for a quick bite on the go. Traditional enchiladas will typically include cheese, beans, beef, fish, chicken, or any combination of these, topped with a spicy chili pepper or tomato sauce. The chicken enchilada in particular is perfect for large groups because it’s easy to assemble and uses very finely shredded pieces of chicken, so a little bit goes a long way.

Maize, or corn as it’s referred to in English-speaking countries, is an excellent source of Vitamin B1, Vitamin B5, Vitamin C and dietary fibers. Rich in thamin, a component found in vitamin B that bolsters memory, corn can actually help you prevent Alzheimer’s disease. Combined with the muscle-building protein from chicken, which can help slow down aging, chicken enchiladas are a perfect way to stay healthy in body and mind.
There are many different ways to personalize your chicken enchilada and substitutions can often be more interesting than going traditional. Enchiladas con Mole uses mole, the Mexican sauce made with chocolate, in place of a spicier chili pepper sauce. Enchiladas Montadas is a standard enchilada topped with a fried egg. Even the Swiss have their own version that uses a dairy-based sauce to give the dish, known as Enchiladas Suizas, a creamy flavor. Try chicken enchiladas at home and come up with your own twist on this classic dish.
